406 cops tapped to secure Holy Week in Baguio City

BAGUIO CITY – The Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) will deploy 406 police personnel to secure the Holy Week and the ‘’summer’’ vacation here. Capt. Angeline Dongpaen, BCPO information officer, said 10 groups of volunteers will also be deployed to man Police Assistance Desks (PAD) in strategic areas within this city. Dongpaen said police visibility in places of convergence and vital installations such us public transportation hubs and tourist destinations will be maximized. In addition, she said, the BCPO will use social media such as Facebook and Twitter to intensify crime prevention campaigns apart from the distribution of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials. The Baguio’s Finest urged  the public to be vigilant and refrain from posting their vacation plans and daily routines on social media.
