For the fifth consecutive day, the Department of Foreign Affairs did not any report of new COVID-19 (coronavirus disease)-related fatality among Filipinos abroad.Â

In a report on Monday, the DFA said what they received were reports of three new confirmed cases and two new recoveries among overseas Filipinos in Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and Africa.Â
No new reports were received from countries in the Americas and the Middle East.
The total number of COVID-19 cases involving Filipinos abroad since the outbreak began in February this year is now 11,152. Of the total, 7,201 have recovered, 3,139 are undergoing treatment, and 812 succumbed to the disease.Â
The combined regions of the Middle East and Africa comprise the most number of COVID-19 cases among Filipinos abroad with 7,364, followed by Asia and the Pacific with 1,759; Europe, 1,215, and the Americas, 814.Â
The DFA assured that through its Foreign Service Posts, it will continue to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic.
