Malacañang on Thursday, March 30, announced the latest appointees of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to three government agencies and offices—Philippine Postal Corp., Insurance Commission of the Department of Finance (DOF), and the National Task Force to End Local Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) under the Office of the President (OP).

Marcos appointed Luis Carlos as the acting Postmaster General and Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Post Corp., according to a post by the Philippine Communications Office (PCO).

At the DOF, Reynaldo Regalado is the new commissioner of the department’s Insurance Commission.

Palace also named Ernesto Torres Jr. to lead the NTF-ELCAC National Secretariat under the OP as its new executive director.

NTF-ELCAC was created by former president Rodrigo Duterte for a whole-of-nation approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace.

However, it had been marred by various controversies, including being at the forefront of the Duterte administration’s rampant red-tagging of critics.

The PCO post indicated that the three new officials were appointed to their posts on Tuesday, March 28.
