Gardo Versoza suffers from heart attack, undergoes angioplasty procedure

Actor Gardo Versoza was rushed to the hospital after he suffered from a heartÂ attack on Thursday, March 30. Television host Boy Abunda confirmed the news about Versoza and gave an update on the condition of the actor in his afternoon program "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" on GMA Network on March 30. "Nag-umpisa po ito sabi ni Ivy Vicencio, ang kanyang asawa, nanakit ang likod ni Gardo, at noong una ay ayaw pa magpadala sa ospital dahil meron siyang taping kinabukasan," said Abunda. "Pero napilit din at dinala siya sa Cardinal Santos Medical Center kung saan nalaman ng mga doctor na dalawang ugat po sa puso ay barado.Â Dahil dito sumailalim siya sa angioplasty," Abunda said. According to the Mayo Clinic in the US, coronary angioplasty is a procedure used to open clogged heart arteries. Abunda also said that Versoza had been warned to take it easy on physical activities because of the pain in his body. "Two weeks ago nag bisikleta mula Pasig hanggang Tarlac. Nine hours.
