Members of the Southern Police District-District Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DDEU) conducted a buy-bust operation that led to the dismantling of a drug den and arrest of the maintainer and four others in Pasay City on March 29.
According to a report submitted to SPD Chief Brig. Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft, the suspects were identified as Vicente Galura, drug den maintainer and tagged by the police as a high value individual (HVI), Jomar Areglado Realingo, Ted Gonzales Torres, Leksis Bunyi Gentauco, and Victor Silacay, all labelled as street value individuals (SLI).
Kraft said the SPD-DEU conducted buy-bust operation at around 2:30 p.m. along Barangay 127, Pasay City for the arrest of Galura who was reported to be maintaining a drug den.
He said that during the buy bust operation, SPD-DDEU operatives arrested Galura and four others and dismantled the drug den.
The SPD chief said confiscated from the suspects are 300 grams of shabu worth P204,000, the P500 peso bill used as buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia such as lighter, aluminum foil with shabu residue, weighing scale, and a scissor.
Kraft said the suspects were detained at the SPD-DDEU custodial facility after their arrest and were charged for illegal possession of drugs.
He said the confiscated items were brought at the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
