Meanwhile, an official of the DOH said they are already seeing a decrease in COVID-19 new cases in the country.
"For over the past weeks, we had seen an average of 3,000 cases per day. Now, we are averaging about 2,400 cases," Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said in a media forum.
"We can really see the trend that the numbers we have are already going down gradually," she added.
But, Vergeire said, this is not a reason to be complacent as there are still clustering of cases of COVID-19 in some parts of the country.
She said they are monitoring these areas with clustering and increasing growth rates.
"We shouldn't be complacent. We must remain vigilant," said Vergeire.
