The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that no Filipino abroad got infected with or died from COVID-19 based on weekend reports.

In a statement, the DFA said that weekend reports from Philippine embassies and consulates recorded two new recoveries from COVID-19 in the Americas.
"No new confirmed case, and no new fatality among Filipinos abroad," the report read.
"No new reports were received from Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East," it furthered.
As of Saturday evening, the total number of overseas Filipinos repatriated by the DFA was over 174,000, 35.46 percent of them are sea-based and 64.54 percent are land-based.
According to the DFA, the agency continues to monitor the welfare of Filipinos working and living abroad.
"The DFA remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of overseas Filipinos who are affected by the pandemic and remains steadfast in promoting and protecting their welfare," it said.
On Saturday, the number of Filipinos overseas that got COVID-19 reached 10,181 in 77 countries. Of the said figure, 2,982 are undergoing treatment in health centers.
Meanwhile, the DFA reported on Saturday that the number of Filipinos overseas who recovered from the said respiratory illness reached 6,431.
The death toll, on the other hand, remained at 768 with no new deaths recorded.
