Davao region posts 37 new COVID-19 cases

DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health (DOH) in the region has recorded 37 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Friday, September 18.

Based on its Regional Situation Update, the DOH Davao Center for Health Development has recorded 29 new COVID-19 cases from Davao City, three each from Davao del Norte and Davao del Sur, and one case each from Davao Oriental and Davao de Oro.

The DOH said it has recorded a total of 2,601 COVID-19 cases, with 385 active cases.

The DOH added that a total of 996 persons were tested on Friday and 58 tested positive for COVID-19. It said the other 21 came from other regions.

Meanwhile, 64 recoveries were reported.

"Among these, 25 each from Davao City and Davao de Oro, 11 are from Davao del Norte. two are from Davao del Sur, and one from Davao Oriental,"the DOH added.

The region has a total of 2,141 recoveries and 75 deaths reported.
