DAVAO CITY - The Department of Health-Davao Center for Health Development (DOH-DCHB) recorded 32 new cases of coronavirus disease on Thursday, September 17.
Based on its Regional Situation Update released on Thursday evening, the DOH has recorded 15 new cases from Davao City, 10 from Davao del Sur, four from Davao Oriental and three from Davao del Norte.
The region has recorded a total of 2,565 number of COVID-19 cases, with 413 active cases.
The DOH also said 16 have recovered on Thursday.
"Among these, 11 are from Davao City, two are from Davao del Sur, two are from Davao del Norte, and one from Davao Oriental," it added.
The total reported recoveries in the region is now at 2,077, while the reported deaths are at 75.
The latest death was the case of a 57 year-old man from Apokon in Tagum City who had the onset of symptoms last September 9. The patient was admitted on September 15th and died on the same day.
The DOH also said that a total of 1,024 persons was tested on Thursday, and 50 tested positive for COVID-19.
"18 of the 50 persons who tested positive today were from other regions, thus, these cases will be added to their respective region," it said.
