Coronavirus disease among Filipinos abroad increased to 10,116 while recoveries are now at 6,284, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said Saturday.
Three new confirmed cases and nine recovered patients were reported Saturday. One fatality was also recorded, raising the death toll now to 758.
Active cases among migrant Filipinos are now at 3,074.
According to the latest data, the new confirmed cases were reported in Asia and the Pacific, the new recoveries were recorded from the Americas and Asia and Pacific Region, while the lone fatality was reported in Middle East/Africa.
Compared to last week’s percentages, the DFA said the total number of Filipinos who have recovered from the disease increased to 62.12 percent of the total confirmed cases, while those who are under treatment saw a slight decrease to 30.39 percent.
Meanwhile, the percentage of fatalities among COVID-19-affected Filipinos abroad saw a slight decrease to 7.5 percent.
Most of the cases among Filipinos abroad are reported in countries in the Middle East with 6,975 but 4,164 of them have already recovered. It is also the region with highest deaths among Filipino patients with 477.
Europe has 1,168 total confirmed cases with 804 recoveries, and 95 deaths. The Asia and Pacific Region, on the other hand, has 1,175 confirmed cases with 860 recoveries, and 8 deaths.
The Americas has 798 cases with 456 recoveries, and 178 deaths.
