A ticket bought in the City of Manila won the P34.1-million jackpot prize for Grand Lotto 6/55, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Thursday, March 30.
PCSO said the ticket bought in Tondo, Manila, won a total jackpot prize of P34,123,859 during the evening draw on March 29.
The latest lotto millionaire correctly guessed the winning combination 26-23-34-41-45-29 for the Grand Lotto 6/55.
In the same draw, seven lotto players won a second prize worth P100,000 each.
PCSO holds the Grand Lotto 6/55 draws on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
As reminded by PCSO, all prizes above P10,000.00 are subject to a 20 percent final tax according to the Tax Reform Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law.
PCSO also reminded the public that all winning tickets should be claimed within one year from the draw date. Unclaimed tickets are forfeited to form part of the PCSO Charity Fund under the Republic Act 1169 or the PCSO Charter.
The agency also reminded the winners to “secure their tickets and write their name and signature at the back.”
Winning tickets, PCSO added, must not be wrinkled, folded, or even have a single tear on them.
“The bar code must not be damaged, as it is an essential component of the ticket for validation,” PCSO said.
Moreover, PCSO added the lotto terminal should be able to read the barcode of the winning ticket.
