DAVAO CITY - The Bangsamoro government condemned on Wednesday the twin blasts in Jolo, Sulu, which claimed the lives of at least 15 people, including six civilians and seven soldiers.
"At a time when the world grapples with the challenges of a global pandemic and during a period when we are just entering a new phase for the region, an act like this deserves nothing but condemnation and appropriate actions," the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) said in a statement.

It assured that it will "maximize all its resources to make sense of this tragedy and find out and put into justice the perpetrators behind the attacks."
"We will be coordinating with the local authorities and move forward with measures necessary for incidents like this," the Bangsamoro government added.
The two explosions occurred around 11:53 am and 1:00 pm in Barangay Walled, Jolo.
The Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom) said five soldiers and four civilians were initially killed in the first explosion.
Two more soldiers died later, the WestMinCom added. The military has confirmed that the twin blasts were carried out by two female suicide bombers.
Meanwhile, the Sulu Provincial Government said six civilians and a member of the police's Special Action Force (SAF) were also killed. The explosions also injured 77 people.
