Three new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among Filipinos living abroad were reported on Saturday, Sept. 26, bringing the total number to 10,.433, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.
There are also nine new recovered patients, bringing the total recoveries among nationals in foreign countries to 6,654.
Four Filipinos, however, succumbed to the dreaded disease, taking the death toll to 790.
Active cases are now at 2,989.
The latest data, according to the Foreign Affairs department, was reported from the Asia and the Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East regions.
The department said that compared to last week’s percentages, the total number of recoveries and deaths due to COVID-19 among nationals increased slightly to 63.78 percent and 7.57 percent, respectively; while those under treatment decreased to 28.65 percent.
At present, most of the confirmed cases are from the Middle East and Africa with 7,074 total cases. More than half of them have already recovered with the region tallying 4,248 recoveries. The region has 509 deaths.
The remaining cases among nationals abroad are scattered in the Asia Pacific Region, countries in Europe, and the Americas.
The Asia Pacific Region has a total of 1,372 cases of COVID-19 among migrant Filipinos, with 1,050 recoveries, and eight deaths.
Europe has 1,179 confirmed cases with 892 recoveries, and 95 deaths while the Americas has 808 cases of COVID-19 infected Filipinos, with 464 recoveries, and 178 deaths.
