There are three new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among overseas Filipinos on Saturday, Oct. 10, the Department of Foreign Affairs said.
The total number of COVID-19 cases month Filipinos abroad now totals to 10,867. Active cases are now at 3,147.
The cases of recoveries remain at 6,919 as there were no new recoveries reported, but there was one death, bringing the death toll to 801.
According to the Foreign Affairs department, they only received two reports from Europe and the Middle East.
Compared to last week’s percentages, the total number of COVID-19 recoveries and fatalities among our nationals decreased slightly to 63.67 percent and increased to 7.37 percent, respectively; while the total number of those under treatment saw a slight increase to 28.96 percent.
Latest data showed that most of the cases among Filipinos abroad were reported from the Middle East and Africa region with 7,137 cases. A total of 4,307 of them have already recovered while 519 succumbed to the illness.
The Asia and Pacific Region has now a total of 1,711 cases with 1,204 recoveries, and nine deaths.
Europe has 1,209 cases with 942 recoveries, and 95 deaths while the Americas has 810 cases with 466 recoveries, and 178 deaths.
