DAVAO CITY - Three employees from the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the Bangsamoro government said in a statement.
The employees were all from Cotabato City, working at the Finance, Budget and Management Services of the OCM under BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim.
"The first case has no known exposure to any confirmed case, and no known travel history to areas with local or sustained community transmission," the Bangsamoro Government said in a statement on September 2.
Contact tracing has also been initiated "upon the confirmation of the first case" on August 30.
"We would like to assure everyone that the Bangsamoro Government is strictly following and adhering to the health standards set by the World Health Organization, Department of Health, and Ministry of Health," it said.
The OCM building was also temporarily closed for disinfection starting September 3.
In Memorandum 529 signed by Executive Secretary-Designate Abdulraof Macacua, all officials and employees within the building were advised to observe work-from-home scheme "until further notice."
