The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Wednesday reported two new fatalities among Filipinos abroad due to COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019).
Also, the DFA recorded 10 new confirmed cases in the Americas and the Middle East and three new recoveries in the Middle East and Europe.
With the latest report, this brings the total number of COVID-19 infections among overseas since the start of the pandemic in February 2020 to 10,096.
Of the said total, 6,177 have recovered, 3,162 are undergoing treatment and 757 died due to coronavirus infections.
“The DFA, together with its Foreign Service Posts, continues to partner with host governments to ensure the safety and well-being of Filipino nationals abroad amid the pandemic,” the foreign affairs office said.
