BACOLOD CITY – Two men on a motorcycle were gunned down in Sitio Galo, Barangay 5, Isabela, Negros Occidental on Tuesday, March 28.

The victims were identified as Randy Macasa, 51, and Stephen Limen, 39, residents of San Enrique, Negros Occidental.

Capt. Ar-jay Dangarang, Isabela police chief, said the victims were seen coming from La Castellana town, Negros Occidental prior to the shooting based on a copy of a closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera.

Dangarang said that Limen left their house to meet someone, according to his family.

However, they were shot upon reaching Sitio Galo in Barangay 5.

Police recovered from the crime scene 12 fired cartridge cases, a live ammunition, a metal jacket, a deformed fired bullet, and a metal fragment of a suspected .45 caliber firearm.

Dangarang said that Macasa had a previous case for disobedience to person in authority while Limen had a case for illegal drugs.

He said they have yet to establish a motive but they are looking into the incident as drug-related or personal, considering the background of the victims.

Dangarang also said they have no lead yet on the perpetrators as the area is far from houses, thus, they only have limited information on the ground.
