2 hurt in Pasig City blaze

Two persons were reportedly hurt in a fire that razed a residential area in Caliwag Street, Lusong Compound in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on Thursday morning, March 30.

According to the initial report of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), two individuals sustained injuries.

Severino Santonjos, 32, sustained first degree burn on his shoulders, and an abrasion on his elbow and leg.

Meanwhile, Monette Dilapan, 17, suffered first degree burn on her left arm and right thigh.

The BFP raised the fire to the first alarm at 10:14 a.m.

It escalated and reached the fifth alarm at 10:51 a.m.

The fire was put under control at 11:09 a.m. and declared fire out at 11:34 a.m.

The number of houses burned, families displaced, and cost of damages are still being determined by the BFP.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
