Francis M's 'Bagsakan' shirt up for bidding

The shirt Francis "Kiko" Magalona used on the music video for the well-loved tune "Bagsakan" is now up for auction. It is part of an effort to raise funds for ailing Parokya Ni Edgar guitarist Gab Chee Kee. On Instagram, Chito Miranda happily announced,  "Tingnan nyo kung ano yung nahanap namin. Yung polo ni Sir Kiko sa Bagsakan." "Honestly, di na ko umaasa na mahahanap pa namin yung pangatlong polo...pero nagbakasakali ako, at nag-message ako kay Saab Magalona," he added. "After a few days, she sent me this photo...nahanap nila yung polo and pumayag si Ma'am Pia ipa-auction yung polo ni Sir Kiko for Gab!!! Game on!!!" Chito attached a screenshot of his conversation with Francis' daughter in his post. Saab wrote: "Mom found it and she wants to sell it for Gab. Let me know how to go abt it!" On Parokya Ni Edgar's Facebook account, they revealed that as of March 3, the bid is at ₱300,000.00. Recall that the auction started March 2. Bidding started at ₱100,000.00. Those interested could send their offer to the band's email address. According to them, bidders will receive a text message with instructions. If they don't, it means that somebody else offered a higher amount.
The bidding will end at 10 p.m. on March 6, which coincides with the death anniversary of Kiko, who succumbed to cancer in 2009. Parokya Ni Edgar reminded netizens that they will entertain serious bidders only. "Hindi ito sapilitan. Tulong po ito para kay Gab pambayad ng hospital bills niya," they said. Recall that last month, Chito was able to sell his own "Bagsakan" shirt for P150K. Some online users were questioning the fundraising activities.
