Great news to all Voltes V fans! GMA Network gives a sneak peek of what fans can expect from the highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of the hit anime series via ‘Voltes V Legacy: The Cinematic Experience’ on April 19.

This will show the special version of the first three weeks of the series before its much-awaited premiere on primetime TV in May.

A touching story of love for family, the 1 minute and 30 seconds clip features Earth’s last line of defense – the Voltes team and their super robot, Voltes V – as they battle the evil Boazanian Forces who are about to invade and annihilate the Earth.

After GMA dropped the teaser trailer last Friday, netizens and fans of the popular '70s Japanese anime took to social media to praise and express their excitement about its powerhouse cast, world-class set, and cutting-edge visual effects and animation.

“Grabe wala ako masabi, nakakaiyak dahil nakakaproud na Pinoy ang gumawa ng ganito kalinaw, kaganda at nagiimprove na talaga ang CGI at VFX ng Pinas. Only GMA Network ang nakakagawa ng ganitong serye,” a netizen who was amazed with the impressive and high quality special effects, commented on YouTube.

Expectations are high for this Kapuso show and everyone is looking forward to watching it on the big screen. “This is amazing. Congratulations to the whole cast and crew of Voltes V. Also to GMA 7 for producing this quality show. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas. Thank you for giving this to every Filipino all over the world. Finally meron ng date!! Its on my calendar already!” commented some fans on GMA Drama’s Facebook page.

Longtime fans of the super robot even turned nostalgic about their favorite anime while watching the trailer. “Nakaka-excite naman ito!!! Naaalala ko na nagmamadali akong umuwi sa bahay para mapanood ang Voltes V sa tv…tutuk na tutok ako noon sa Voltes V. Isang alaala na masaya galing sa aking kabataan.”

Meanwhile, netizens couldn’t be more proud because it is made by Filipinos. “Will definitely support this! Gonna do so because I grew up with V5 and its theme tune was my anthem as a mecha fan kid, but also because GMA and Pinoy talents made it. Thank you for always pushing the envelope and setting the bar higher, GMA7!
