Village councilor shot dead in Bulacan

A barangay councilor was shot dead by an unidentified gunman along Halili Avenue in Barangay Bagbaguin, Sta Maria, Bulacan on Wednesday morning, March 29 The victim was identified as Aldrin Ativo Santos, a village councilor of Barangay Poblacion 2, Marilao, Bulacan. (Photo courtesy of Marcel Bayan/ MANILA BULLETIN) The unidentified suspect was wearing a white jacket with a blue stripe, a white helmet, with a short firearm. Bulacan police have yet to establish the motive of the shooting incident but are looking into work-related as one of the possible angles since the victim is very active in the village public service.
