University of Santo Tomas bounced back in convincing fashion after a swift win over University of the East, 25-17, 25-16, 25-17, in the second round of the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament Wednesday, March 29, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The Golden Tigresses, who are coming off a four-set loss to the Adamson Lady Falcons, set the pace early and took command the rest of the way to improve 6-3 in the standings.
Eya Laure carried out the team-high performance of 17 points for UST off 15 attacks, one block and an ace.

Down by two in the third set, 12-10, the Golden Tigresses crawled back into the game to tie the game at 16-all.
