Trader seized in Cagayan

GONZAGA, Cagayan – A 43-year-old businessman was allegedly abducted here on Monday, March 27. Police are conducting an in-depth investigation and hot-pursuit operation against the kidnappers of Romel Hoseña Barwasi of Barangay Progressive, this town. Capt. Shiela Joy Fronda of the Cagayan Police Provincial Office said Barwasi was forced to board a red Toyota Innova by more or less five men in front of his house after he alighted from his gray Toyota Hi-Ace. The suspects’ vehicle sped off towards Santa Teresita, Cagayan. The victim had just dropped his children in school when he was kidnapped. The incident was caught on surveillance camera.
