Six more senators undergo COVID-19 test

Juan Miguel Zubiri said he had tested positive for COVID-19. Sotto said that Senators Pia Cayetano, Panfilo Lacson, Imee Marcos, Grace Poe, Ramon Revilla Jr. and Francis Tolentino were tested for possible coronavirus infection. The tests were conducted in his Senate office at around noon Tuesday. The results will be released by the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in two days. The senators are all asymptomatic, according to Sotto. Senator Richard Gordon was also tested in his home Tuesday, according to his office. Replying to a netizen's query, Sotth said on Twitter Monday that he was already tested for COVID-19. He has yet to respond to queries about its result. Zubiri has isolated himself from his family, who, on the other hand, tested negative on the disease. Despite being positive for the virus, the Senate majority leader said he is feeling “fine”. Earlier on Tuesday, Health Secretary Duque announced that Sens. Sherwin Gatchalian and Nancy Binay are COVID-free. Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon also said he and his wife also tested negative for COVID-19.
