CITY OF SAN JOSE DEL MONTE, Bulacan — Mayor Arthur Robes here has confirmed Sunday evening that a resident in this city has been tested positive for COVID 19.
Robes said that the man was the second patient that afflicted with the viral disease. The first was a 58-year-old woman.
Related to this, this city has now been placed under city-wide quarantine.
He said the two patients with COVID-19 virus-positive were from Barangays Graceville and Muzon.
Robes cited the health office in this city, announced that the two COVID 19 patients are now confined in an undisclosed hospital in Metro Manila, and contact tracing is now being conducted on who they might have had physical contact with.
Disinfection procedures are now being done in their places of residences.
The Mayor also added that as of Monday, March 16, there were five patients under investigation (PUIs), while 98 patients under monitoring (PUMs) have undergone 14-day home quarantine.
Community Quarantine Checkpoints have been established at Sapang Palay, Barangay San Manuel Evergreen, Barangay Gaya-Gaya Harmony Hills, Barangay Muzon Dela Costa, Barangay Graceville, and Barangay San Isidro.
Employees working in Metro Manila and other cities and municipalities will be allowed to enter and exit CSJDM, but must present company ID at checkpoints.
