Robredo lashes at Uson for lying about her relief efforts for Taal eruption victims

In her Facebook post, the OWWA officer and blogger Uson called out Robredo for allegedly “spending more money on media coverage” and “giving only five pandesal and one bottled water” to evacuees when she went to the province on Tuesday. “Pinapaalala ko lamang sa kanya na ang mga Pilipinong ito rin po ang nagbabayad ng sweldo nya,” Uson wrote. But the Vice President hit back at Uson and said that the latter “was lying.” “Ayaw ko na syang patulan kasi wala syang silbi sa pagtulong sa kababayan natin. Pero kinall out ko lang iyong attention nya kasi nagsisinungaling sya,” Robredo said. “Sa akin, kung magpapasuweldo ka ng pera ng taumbayan, obligasyon mong hindi ka magsisinungaling,” the Vice President added. On Friday, Robredo bared through her Facebook page that her Angat Buhay program partners also started donating not just food and water, but also sleeping mats, blankets and dust masks for evacuees affected by the Taal Volcano eruption. “Nag call po kami for help na sabi namin kailangan ng mats. Hindi lang po mats ang dumating, pero kutson,” she said.
