Raquel Pempengco, the mother of Jake Zyrus, recently shared a cryptic post. It read: "REAL TALK: "Talagang wala pa ring ipapalit sa alaska"." "Alm ko ang mga timbre ng boses na hinahanap mo DF. sinabi ko nman sa inyo noon pa...nag iisa lang ang boses na yan. Kahit kanino mo pa ipakanta yang song mo.. Di mabbgyan ng hustista. NO GOOSEBUMPs..NO STANDING OVATION..Nothing comparesâ€¦...Nag iisang legendary ng Pilipinas si Charice Pempengco. At para sa kaalaman ng lahat. Hinde po si DF ang nagpasikat sa kanya kundi si OPRAHâ€¦nireject nga noon ni DF si Charice. Kaya wag umasa na may isasama pa.. masasaktan lang...," she added. Though she didn't name names, netizens assume Raquel is referring to Canadian composer David Foster. Note that the latter recently had a concert in the Philippines. Meanwhile, in another post, Raquel reposted on Facebook a side-by-side video of Morissette Amon and Jake as Charice singing Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing." She wrote: "Hinde ako gumawa nito ha...share ko lang...See all the comments there...baka sabihin ako lang ang bitter at di mka move on...were just talking and comparing the past and the present there...no hate and discrimination. Thier opinionsÂ and comments are base on what they hear and watch...Anyway...Thanks to all my BASHERS at trending ako ngayon..."
