Rape suspect falls in Laguna

KAMPO HENERAL PACIANO RIZAL, Laguna – Police arrested a rape suspect in Calamba City, this province, on Tuesday, March 28. Laguna Police Provincial Office director Col. Randy Glenn Silvio said the suspect, a resident of Calamba City, was the Police Regional Office 4-A’s most wanted person on the regional level. The suspect was arrested on a warrant issued by the Family Court of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 58 in Calamba City dated March 22, 2023. He faces five counts of acts of lasciviousness and two counts of statutory rape. The court recommended P180,000 bail for each act of lasciviousness case but none for the rape charges. Suspect is now under the custody of the city police custodial facility for proper disposition. “I assure you that the victim will get justice and we will hold this accused accountable to the law. We also thank our citizens for their continued cooperation with our police and for the quick arrest of the accused who are hiding from the law,” Silvio said.
