Olivarez said city hall employees, whether permanent, co-terminous, contractual, casual, and under job order, will continue to receive their salary despite the declaration of the enhanced community quarantine.
Aside from the regular salary, Olivarez also ordered the City Treasurer's Office headed by Anthony Pulmano to prepare the release of the mid-year bonus or the 13th month pay plus the clothing allowance.
He also said the city health workers, barangay health workers, members of the Task-Force COVID-19 including job order employees working as frontliners, will continue to receive their hazard pay and allowance coming from the city government.
In an interview with the city's public information chief Mar Jimenez, he said Olivarez told Task Force COVID-19 in a meeting yesterday to draw up guidelines in providing transportation to the city's frontliners, health workers, and essential workers, whether public or private.
Jimenez also said the mayor gave an amnesty for city residents and business establishments on their real property taxes, with the original March 31 deadline extended to July 20.
He also said the April 20 deadline for workers applying for health certificates was extended to June 30.
The PIO chief added that Olivarez and Task Force COVID-19 will also conduct house-to-house visits and distribute basic needs, specifically to vulnerable sectors.
