By Argyll Cyrus Geducos  Malacañang is open to creating a government commission that would assist and handle the rehabilitation of communities affected by the Taal Volcano eruption but said a task force is not needed for now. Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo (PCOO / FILE PHOTO / MANILA BULLETIN)   Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo made the statement after Senate President Pro-Tempore Ralph Recto proposed the creation of a Taal Commission that will manage all programs in connection to recovery and rehabilitation related to the restive volcano. In a radio interview, Panelo said all good proposals will be studied by the Palace and will be implemented if necessary. "Lahat ng magagandang proposal siyempre pag-aaralan natin at ipapatupad natin 'pag yun ay talagang makakabuti sa ating mga kababayan (We will study and implement all good proposals if they can really help our fellow Filipinos)," he said Sunday. Recto expressed on Sunday his intention to file a bill in the Upper Chamber seeking to establish a Taal Commission. According to Panelo, it would be up to the President if he will certify the bill as urgent. "Tignan natin. Na kay Presidente yun (Let's see. Certifying it as urgent is up to the President)," he said. Meanwhile, Panelo said there was no need for the Executive Department to create a Task Force to handle the Taal Volcano eruption, saying President Duterte was already satisfied with how the different agencies address the situation. "Sa ngayon wala akong nakikitang pangangailangan niyan sapagkat in place lahat. In place lahat kaya napupuri ni Presidente (For now, I don't see the need to create a task force because everything is in place. The President is even all praises)," he said. He added that the Office of the President would release additional funds if necessary. "'Pag kailangan. Sa ngayon okay pa ang pondo natin (We will release funds if needed. For now, the we're fine)," Panelo said. The Palace official added that Malacañang was prepared for a hazardous eruption. "It may or may not . But what is important is we're ready for it. Hopefully not so destructive," Panelo said. President Duterte is set to lead the ceremonial distribution of food packs to families affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in Sto. Tomas, Batangas Monday. Panelo said the President will also go around the affected areas to personally know the situation.
