One of the two Filipinos who tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Singapore has fully recovered according to an embassy official.
“Na discharge na nung Friday , wala na sa ospital, fully recovered na siya.” Philippine Embassy to Singapore Consul General Bernie Candolada said in an interview with DZMM on Monday.
The 41-year old COVID-19 patient is a permanent resident in Singapore.
Meanwhile, the second case is a 41-year old domestic worker who is now confined at the Ng Teng Fong General Hospital for treatment.
“Infection galing sa employer, syempre magkasama sa bahay, pareho silang infected.” Candolada said.
Candolada said the Filipino got the virus from his 61-year-old Singaporean employer, who had a contact to a previous case.
“Ang history niya galing sila ng Batam pero yung employer may contact sa previous case so dun nya nakuha... case 93 na infected na yon so the employer naipasa na din sa kasama sa bahay,” he said.
(The history is they came from Batam but the employer had a contact with a previous case where he contracted (the virus), case 93, the employer had spread the virus with the people in his household.)
Candolada also said 47 patients were already discharged from the hospital and 32 patients are still under isolation.
