Maynilad Water will not disconnect overdue accounts during community quarantine

By Rizal Obanil Maynilad Water Services Inc. is suspending the disconnection of overdue accounts in the National Capital Region (NCR) amid the ongoing Luzon community quarantine imposed by the government starting today (March 17) to arrest the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). (MANILA BULLETIN) (MANILA BULLETIN)     In a Twitter post, Maynilad said in Filipino that “This is to ensure that all customers have ample water supply especially for their critical needs to ensure health and sanitation.” The post also said this was in line with government’s efforts to prevent the spread of the disease. Luzon was placed under enhanced community quarantine from March 17 to April 13, in a bid to contain the spread of COVID-19. An earlier community quarantine over the National Capital Region was imposed starting March 15.
