Manila Cathedral ready to host weddings displaced by Taal Volcano eruption

By Christina Hermoso The Manila Cathedral (Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception) in Intramuros, Manila has announced that it was willing to help, and was ready to accommodate soon-to-be-wed couples whose church venues in Batangas and Cavite were badly affected by the Taal Volcano eruption. (Image Gallery/google image) (Image Gallery/google image) In a social media post, the Manila Cathedral said, couples who are set to marry this January and February in Batangas and Cavite may get in touch with their office personnel in case their church venues were severely affected by the calamity. “Due to a number of calls and inquiries we are receiving regarding transfer of weddings affected by the Taal Volcano eruption in Batangas and Cavite areas to the Manila Cathedral, we are now opening slots and extending assistance for weddings scheduled this January and February 2020,” the Manila Cathedral announced. Large areas in Cavite and Batangas were severely affected by the Taal Volcano eruption. Many churches in the areas are also currently being used as temporary evacuation centers by the affected families. Interested parties may visit the Manila Cathedral office from Tuesday to Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. or on Sunday, from 8 a.m. until noon or call 85273093.
