Work in all Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) offices will be suspended on Friday due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak.
"In view of the rising confirmed cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country and as a precautionary safety measure against the further spread of COVID-19, the LTFRB announces to the public that government in the LTFRB Central office, the LTFRB NCR, and all regional franchising regulatory offices (RFRO) in the country will be suspended on Friday, 13 March 2020," LTFRB said in an advisory.
Transactions will resume on Monday, March 16, it added.
The LTFRB urged all its personnel and stakeholders such as operators, drivers, and the riding public to continue to take care of their personal hygiene, including regular and proper hand washing, and to boost their immune system.
The agency also advised them to follow the advisories given by the Department of Health and other authorities.
