The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) main office has allowed a number of its officials and personnel to work at home in response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat.

“IBP employees and all Filipino lawyers are enjoined to observe best practices and cooperate with authorities and their communities to avoid COVID-19,” IBP National President Domingo Egon Cayosa urged in a statement.
Among the measures implemented, Cayosa said the IBP main office in Pasig City is being manned “with minimal personnel on a rotation basis to attend to urgent and important matters” and there are “work-from-home arrangements for other employees and officers.”
Cayosa also said “IBP is ready to extend assistance to any employee member of immediate member of their family who may be afflicted with COVID-19.”
“The IBP National Office is being sanitized. The other preventive measures adopted earlier will remain,” he added.
Aside from these, Cayosa declared the cancellations of the March 13 and 14 Board of Governors Meeting and CBD Meeting as well as the Workshop on Legal Aid for Indigenous Peoples in Bukidnon set for March 28 to 29.
“IBP Chapters are also advised to take similar measures as their local circumstances may require,” Cayosa also said.
