Albay third district Representative Fernando Cabredo confirmed to the Manila Bulletin that the Women for Progress Movement in Barangay Muladbucad, Guinobatan, Albay asked assistance from his office to facilitate their travel from Albay to Batangas, early morning on Wednesday.
The women’s group was earlier organized by former Albay third district congressman Fernando Gonzales that aims to alleviate poverty in the countryside by planting vegestables, camote and other crops in their backyards.
Cabredo said that these women also experienced being evacuees in the past when Mayon Volcano erupted or during times of typhoon.
"From Mayon to Taal with Love.
He narrated that, as of Tuesday, the group was still coordinating with agencies in Batangas where the farm produce will be distribtued.
