Tomas, Batangas, Duterte said many people in government are willing to help especially now that helping is "professionalized." "Everybody is eager to help at ang atat ‘yung mga taga-gobyernong tumulong (and the government people are itching to help)," he said Monday. "Congress is conscious, that is why there is a pending, maybe a resolution, P30 billion ang mapupunta sa iyo. Kung nand’yan 'yan, the last centavo, pangako ko, darating 'yan sa inyo (…will be yours. Once it's there, I assure you that you will get up to the last centavo). "I will ask Congress to expedite, that will cover all your-- P30 billion will cover your everything. ‘Yung tulong na ninyo sa livestocks, pati mga bahay (to assist you with your livestock and your houses). But that would not be enough. But I will remember na tutulungan kayo (to help you out).” He likewise assured affected residents that the money allotted for them will not go to the pockets of politicians. "Ang pera ng tao, nandiyan talaga, nakikita mo at may pera tayo. 'Wag kayong mag-alala. Walang nabulsa, wala lahat. Ang pera natin nasa gobyerno at kaya natin ibigay sa mga kapatid natin (The people’s money is really there, you can see it, we have the money. Do not worry, nothing was pocketed. Evacuation centers Meanwhile, Duterte also urged Congress to allocate funds for the construction of evacuation centers in disaster-prone areas, including the areas near Taal Volcano.
