DOH denies hiding COVID-19 info from the public

By Marjaleen Ramos The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday denied accusations that it is hiding the real figures on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases from the public. Four new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the DOH on Sunday night, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 10. “May mga nakapasok ng ating bansa na nakahawa rin po dito sa ating mga kababayan. At yung iba naman nating kababayan na nakapunta sa ibang lugar na tumataas ang kaso at pagbalik nila dito ay nakuha nila itong sakit na ito” Vergeire said. “We are doing our best to do the contact tracing para malaman natin at matugunan natin ang mga katanungan ng ating mga kababayan,” she assured. President Duterte signed on Monday the Executive Order declaring a State of Public Health Emergency following the resurgence of the COVID-19 cases in the country and the confirmation of its local transmission.
