All 26 South Koreans from Daegu who arrived in Cebu last February 25 have already been tracked down, the Department of Health said Tuesday.
Health Assistant Secretary Maria Rosario S. Vergeire
(PCOO / MANILA BULLETIN) Health Assistant Secretary Maria Rosario S. Vergeire said the last of the 26 South Koreans, who gave "erroneous" information, was traced in Cebu. "Iyon pong isa ay nasa quaratine ngayon sa isang hotel . Nakausap na natin siya, at nakausap na iyong hotel na tinutuluyan niya," Vergeire told DZMM radio. (The last one is in quarantine at a hotel . We have talked to the South Korean, and the management of the hotel.) Vergeire said 17 out of the 26 have returned to South Korea, while eight are in Cebu, and one is in Angeles, Pampanga. " na endorse na po natin sa ating regional office, Region 3 at binabantayan na siya ngayon," Vergeire said. (The one in Angeles has been endorsed to our regional office, Region 3, and is already being monitored.) " nasa hotel lang po sila, at meron na po tayong pag-uusap with the hotels na papayagan sila mag quarantine doon matapos ang 14-day period,” she added. (The other eight will be staying at their respective hotels, where they were already allowed to undergo a 14-day quarantine.) Vergeire said all remaining South Koreans are asymptomatic. “Sila naman po ay persons under monitoring ibig sabihin hindi naman sila positibo, di parin po sila nakakapag show ng signs and symptoms,” she said. Meanwhile, Vergeire said the interagency task force will still discuss whether to allow the eight Koreans in Cebu to stay in the country after their quarantine period. "Itong walo na naka-quarantine nag si-signify sila ng interest na manatili pa dito sa bansa natin even after their quarantine period,” she said. (The eight Korean under quarantine have shown interest to stay in the country after their quarantine period.)
