Being on top of the situation, Año said 100 percent of the local chief executives affected by the natural calamity activated their disaster-preparedness measures.
He noted that total and partial lockdowns were enforced in critical areas to ensure the safety of the affected residents.
On his strict orders, Año said the police have formed a perimeter task force and set-up checkpoints in all entry points to enforce the lockdown.
To maintain law and order, Año reported that around 98 percent of the residents in the 14-kilometer radius from Taal Volcano’s main crater have already been evacuated.
He reiterated his appeal to the concerned public to cooperate with the government emergency response teams in staying out of the high risk danger zone stressing Taal Volcano Island remains dangerous.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported that Alert Level 4 remains raised over Taal Volcano as it continued to spew fumes from its main cater.
It was reported that more than 200,000 individuals in the CALABARZON area were affected by Taal Volcano’s eruption.
