CITY OF MALOLOS – Acting on the recommendation of the Provincial Health Office-Public Health and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Governor Daniel R. Fernando suspended classes in all levels in the province Tuesday, March 10, as a precautionary measure against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The suspension was in line with President Duterte’s Proclamation No. 922 that declaring a state of public health emergency throughout the country due to the COVID-19 threat.
“Ang ating mga mag-aaral ay inaasahang mananatili sa kani-kanilang tahanan. Hinihiling ko din po na maging mahinahon at patuloy na mag-ingat ang lahat,” Fernando said.
Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) announced that, in light of the confirmation of localized transmission in the Philippines and in anticipation of possible sustained community transmission, it raised COVID-19 alert system to Code Red (alert level 4) sublevel 1. Code Red is triggered by at least one local transmission.
In addition, the Renewal of Vows in the City of San Jose del Monte slated Wednesday, March 11; the Scholars’ General Assembly of the Tulong Pang-Edukasyon para sa Kabataang Bulakenyo program scheduled on March 12; the Bola Kontra Droga and Damayan sa Barangay weekly schedules, and Gawad Medalyang Ginto 2020 scheduled on March 13 were also canceled.
