In a statement, the CSMC management said the male patient was taken care of in their hospital before he was transferred to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa City.
The hospital's management said they are already following the Department of Health's protocols on "quarantine, monitoring, and observation.”
"CSMC has taken all the precautionary measures
involving those who had contact with the patient," the management said.
All those who had been in contact with the patient are "so far" asymptomatic, according to CSMC.
"We assure the general public that the healthcare of our patients and employees is our primordial concern," they said.
"We are committed to take care of them and adhere to the highest standards of infection management considering the DOH guidelines and protocols," they added.
The DOH on Friday said a 62-year-old Filipino, who had no travel history to countries with recorded cases of COVID-19, tested positive for the disease.
