All Comelec offices are closed until April 14

"In view of the continuing need to minimize risk of #COVID19 infection and transmission, the Commission on Elections has suspended work in all @COMELEC field offices," he said in his Twitter account @jabjimenez. "Even the main office has no work, except for vital offices like IT, Finance, and Security," added Jimenez. The suspension, he said shall be from March 16 to April 14, 2020 unless sooner revoked. When asked if the suspension of voter registration is also extended, Jimenez replied: "In effect, yes." Last week, the Comelec also announced the suspension of the voter registration due to the growing threat to public health posed by the disease. At that time, Jimenez said the voter registration will be suspended from March 10 until March 31. Voter registration resumed last January 20 and will run until September 30, 2021.
