6 killed, 23 hurt as truck rams house in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – Six people were killed while 23 others were injured after a truck rammed a house in Sitio Daap, Barangay Sangali here on Wednesday, March 29. A police report said that a truck carrying more than 20 factory workers was traversing a descending slope when its brakes malfunctioned. The truck went out of control and rammed the house, throwing most of the passengers off the vehicle. Victims were taken to hospitals here where at least six died.  Twenty-three workers were treated for injuries. The house was also damaged. The truck regularly ferries workers residing in the east coast to a factory in the western coast here.
