506 grams of shabu worth P3.4 M seized from courier in Bacolod buy-bust

BACOLOD CITY – About 506 grams of suspected shabu worth P3,440,800 were seized from an alleged drug courier during a buy-bust operation at Purok Kapawa, Barangay Tangub here on Wednesday, March 29.

The subject was identified as Sean Navarro, 26, of Barangay Mansilingan here. Capt. Joven Mogato, head of City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), said they monitored the suspect for two weeks after receiving information that he’d been allegedly tasked to deliver or dispose of the illegal drugs here. Mogato said the illegal drugs were believed to have been repacked when they busted the suspect, who is a newly-identified individual, but is also considered a high-value individual because of the huge volume of drug recovery. Mogato said they will check if the suspect has a possible link with a drug group. Navarro is detained at Police Station 8 for the filing of drug charges.
