A third Filipino in Singapore tested positive for the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the country’s health ministry reported Tuesday.
The 34-year-old Filipina domestic worker was among two new cases recorded in Singapore. The other case was a 68-year-old Singaporean.
In a press release Tuesday, the Singapore Health Ministry (MoH) said the Filipina's employer and co-worker had earlier tested positive for the disease.
"She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 2 March morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital," the health ministry said.
The Filipina had no record of recent travel to China, Daegu, and Cheongdo, according to the Singapore MoH.
