BUTUAN CITY - A total of 362 locally stranded individuals (LSIs) from Metro Manila arrived here via passenger buses from Cagayan de Oro City on Monday.
Of the 362 LSIs, 42 were from Butuan City, 82 from Agusan del Norte, 221 from Agusan del Sur, nine from Surigao del Norte, seven from Surigao del Sur and one from the Province of Dinagat Islands.
The newly-arrived LSIs were required to undergo all the necessary health protocols upon their arrival at the Butuan City Sports Complex.
They were fetched by their respective local government units (LGUs) after the health screenings.
They will also undergo 14-day quarantine upon their arrival in their respective provinces, cities and municipalities.
The stranded individuals were affected by the lockdown due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The LSIs from various areas in Northeastern Mindanao or Caraga region were sent home through the government’s “Hatid Tulong Program”.
