Three men caught with carnapped vehicle, P7 M worth of shabu in Northern Samar checkpoint


TACLOBAN CITY – An orange sedan believed to be carnapped was flagged down by Highway Patrol Units in a checkpoint in Brgy. Jubasan in Allen, Northern Samar on Tuesday, March 28, for inspection.

As it turns out, there were hot items inside the car reportedly carnapped in Tarlac City.

The operating teams discovered 10 packs of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu inside a brown leather sling bag during the inspection of the vehicle and the search of the suspects for possible possession of illegal deadly weapons and contraband.

The driver of the sedan, Jabbar Angni Azis, 29, and a resident of Munai, Lanao Del Norte was arrested, along with two others, Aminollah Moti Mohammad, 43, a resident of Pantao, Ragat, Lanao Del Norte and Amenodeh Agul Mamao, 32, and a resident of Santiago City, Isabela.

The value of the illegal drugs found inside the sedan was estimated to be around P7 million.

The vehicle and the suspects were turned over by the operating teams to Allen Municipal Police Station.

A follow-up investigation is still ongoing pending the arrival of the owner to claim the alleged carnapped vehicle.
