Speaker Romualdez bares his 2 birthday wishes for Duterte

House Speaker Martin Romualdez has two wishes for former president Rodrigo Duterte on the latter’s 78th birthday. Romualdez wrote these wishes on his Facebook on Tuesday, March 28 for everyone to see. "Happy 78th Birthday, Former President Rodrigo Duterte!" wrote the Leyte 1st district congressman. "Dalangin namin na patuloy kayong biyayaan ng Panginoon ng malusog na pangangatawan at mahabang panahon ng kaligayahan kapiling ang mga mahal ninyo sa buhay (Our wish is for the Lord to continue blessing you with good health and enduring happiness with your loved ones)," said Romualdez, president of the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD). "Muli, maligayang kaarawan po sa inyo! (Again, happy birthday to you)," the Speaker further said. Romualdez was an administration ally during Duterte's presidency from 2016 to 2022. The latter’s daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte, is Lakas-CMD chairperson.
