Poe supports move to transfer domestic flights to NAIA 2

Senator Grace Poe, chairperson of the Senate Committee on Public Services, on Tuesday, March 28, said she supports the transfer of domestic flights to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) 2.

The move, according to Poe, would maximize the capacity of Philippine airports and bring better comfort to travelers.

Poe said airport officials and airlines should closely coordinate to ensure a seamless transition that would not disrupt flights, cause delays and inconvenience passengers.

Intensified information dissemination and timely assistance should be available to the public, she pointed out.

Poe said that the unfortunate incidents and mishaps especially at NAIA in the recent past have dealt our airports a black eye.

"We expect the new terminal assignments can be a genuine showcase of an improved, more efficient airport experience for travelers," she added.
